while i wouldn't classify it as one of my signature looks, i do like it. i wear it more than i decorate with it. the lee jofa i've used is gastly expensive. that's the problem, if you're going to do leopard well, it has to look and feel REALLY expensive. here are some tasteful leopard looks...

what's your relationship? LOVE IT or HATE IT? have you found any great leopard pieces or fabrics...DO SHARE!
When it comes to any animal print, a little goes a long way in making a statement. A set of pillows or one upholstered chair is perfect.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE animal print!! I am incorporating it in my home for sure!
ReplyDeleteWould have said ABSOLUTELY NOT - but having seen these images am slightly changing my mind. Thanks for broadening my mind! xx
ReplyDeleteLove leopard, and as you said, a little goes a long way, like any style in decor. Too much industrial, country french or modern in a room is a good example! What keeps it interesting is a "splash" here and there.
ReplyDeleteYeah no! I'm not a fan of leopard print in the home. Leopard is tricky but I must say these images could turn me... I guess it all depends.
ReplyDeleteADORE leopard in small doses! Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteMMMM I love it in small doses. All of the examples you used are lovely!
ReplyDeletelove a little bit..i do have some Ralph Lauren sheets i love.
ReplyDeletelove it.
ReplyDeletesome friends of ours have this leopard carpet that goes up the stairs into their theater room. i never would have though about using leopard print carpet, but theirs looks so cool that i kind of want it.
Love it! Definitely love it. Sometimes it can be overdone but in all of your pictures it was used perfectly!

Yeah, leopard is more for my fashion than in my design loves...I would have to say I'm more of a zebra girl...(c:
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of animal print, however in small doses!
ReplyDeleteI like it tastefully done in small doses. Really love the way Nate Berkus used it in your images. Personally, I am trying to find a way to use the Stark Anetelope carpet either in my home or a project.
ReplyDeleteThose are some nice examples of leopard print not looking completely horrendous and tacky, but no thank you. I still wouldn't want any rooms in my own home to look like any of those pictures. Ugh. Animal prints make me shudder...it's like fingernails on a chalkboard for me. HOWEVER, I am all for people reflecting their personalities and style through their decor, so if it makes you happy, that's the most important thing!
ReplyDeleteI like it if it is subtlety used, but often people go a bit overboard. We lived in Dallas for 2 years and I have to say there were more than a few houses I entered and was overwhelmed by how much leopard there was.
ReplyDeleteI hate it for home decor, but love it for some ballet flats:)
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT!!! I just bought a jacket today that is black patent with leopard print - its unreal...but, I think a touch of leopard in a room is a good thing...not too much though...
ReplyDeletei am forever in love with leopard print. i actually just did a post about it! maybe you can come and check it out! you have such a lovely blog!!

When done right it really blends into the space and never looks overdone or gaudy - love your examples!

ReplyDeleteFor me, there is nothing about leopard print that isn't tacky. I own a full, real leopard skin that my father obtained from an African chief in exchange for a handful of bullets, and I just cannot bring myself to display it. I can cope with Nguni (cow) hide rugs and (just about with) real zebra rugs... but leopard? No.
ReplyDeleteIt's something to do with sightings of peroxide-blonde women with orange skin prancing round in leopard print clothing. Sends shivers up my spine!
I'm a big fan of leopard. in my opinion, you can never have too much! cz guest's leopard carpet is one of my favorite things in the world :)

I always love leopard print in small (and classy) doses. It's often overdone, but I love it when done right.
ReplyDeleteNot a fan at all! But some of those pictures look ok. I don't know what it is, I just don't like it!
ReplyDeletelove it in small doses!
ReplyDeletegenerally i only like animal print in shoes...
