When I was in college I worked at a flower shop where I met Meta, who had recently re-designed the old Victorian home into a modern boutique. We sold Snow & Graham letterpress, Thomas Paul pillows, Free People clothing, and of course fresh flowers. It was a dream job, especially as a college student and it was great working with and learning from Meta. She's always been one step ahead and knows the best sources for European & modern products {she's half German}. For the last few years, Meta has been hard at work designing her own home~which is truly amazing. I'm so excited to share it with you {and some of her fabulous sources}...
This is her son Henrik's section of the living room where he reads and watches shows: The Prints are taken from a vintage Babar book. The storage shelf/sideboard is from Ikea. The lamp is from perch. The bean bag chair is from Little red stuga. The little girl painting is by Matte Stephens.
Her office might my favorite room in the house. The chair is the Hans Wegner wishbone or Y chair in white. The chandelier is by Tord Boontje. The yellow pillow is Hable Construction.
The wallpaper is Orla Kiely multi stem~ isn't it amazing?
Frames wallpaper is by Graham & Brown.
Meta bought the tub for $50 and had it resurfaced and repainted. The mats are from Ikea. The frog storage is Boon. The towels are Orla Kiely and the cowboy robe is Cath Kidston.
The changing table/dresser is the cub collection by David Netto (they don't make this anymore, but a different style with darker wood). The owl collage is by Kate Endle. The bear on a bike print "sweet ride" is by Jacqueline Schmidt and she purchased it at moomah.com, a really cool children's website and philosophy. The wooden Giraffe mom and baby is from Oestheimer and she got them in Germany but you can get them at thewoodenwagon.com.
The frames are mostly ikea. The clock vintage Gustavian. The daybed is a vintage mid century piece she got at The Green Ant (Salt Lake City) and had reupholstered. The pillows are Thomas Paul.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING YOUR HOME WITH US META... it is simply perfect!
