So there are some big decisions to be made in the next week for my own house for a change...to paint or not to paint? A little bit about our new place in Philly...old wood floors, craftsman doors, white pinwheel tile, lots of windows, and quite a bit of space (since I opted to have a home office rather then rent office space elsewhere). It's very bright and airy and all the trim, bathroom, and kitchen are white (with the exception of the banana yellow and black tiled guest bathroom:) I loved all the white walls in my Dubai place but for some reason I'm really craving color. And I'm thinking if I'm going to paint, I'm going to "go big or go home!" Colors on my mind: papaya, cobalt, bright mint, and teal. What's your vote... to paint or not to paint?
My vote is to paint!! I'm loving all those colors you mentioned!! I live in an apartment right now, and don't have the option to paint. So I will be on the edge of my seat to see what you do!
ReplyDeleteIf anyone can pull off colors like that, it's you! Please do it!
ReplyDeletePaint! Just go for it. I am sure it will look great in the end. Love all your inspirational images, by the way.

Paint! If anyone can pull it off you can!
ReplyDeletepaint! (It might be for selfish reasons because I'd love to see what you'd come up with!)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely paint. I visited my upstairs neighbor in my last apartment and noticed she had painted. I asked what the landlady said about that and she said she didn't even ask. AH-HA!!! I painted the entire apartment within the next few months and it made a huge difference! Now I own a condo and I've done a lot of painting. Paint. Paint soon! You will be so glad!
ReplyDeletepaint!!
ReplyDeletePaint! I am in LOVE with the first and last photos you posted. The wall color and the rug/carpet in the first are gorgeous.
ReplyDeletePaint for sure! Sounds fun
ReplyDeleteI say paint and then show us lots of pictures!
ReplyDeleteI say paint!
ReplyDeletewell, clearly depends on the house. I LOVE color, love paint, and we've found a good balance here keeping the wals white in the main, open-plan living areas, and going big in the bedrooms and more closed spaces. Planning to do bold hues in the bathrooms next. Can't wait to see!

ReplyDeleteI'm lovin cobalt right now!!
ReplyDeleteI am voting for paint! I would love to see what you will make with your magic brushed wand :)
ReplyDeleteI vote for color! As soon as I buy a house instead of jumping from apartment to apartment, the first thing I'll do is find some great colors for the walls. Have fun selecting!
ReplyDeleteOh Paint!! I want to see how you do it because you do it oh so well!!! Have fun, Kathysue
ReplyDeleteWow, love the fabric on the chair in the first pic. Any idea what it is?
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure with you behind the paintbrush, whatever you choose will be marvelous! I have to say I am a big fan of color...it just puts a smile on my face when I walk into a room with some awesome color! Happy Weekend and I cannot *wait* to see the new place! (c:

PAINT!!!! you only live once!!
ReplyDeletePaint! The pictures you posted are amazing. Makes me want to paint my own home many colors!
ReplyDeletePaint:) I have one wall painted a bold blue color in my living room and each time I walk in there a big smile appears on my face. I love it...
ReplyDeleteGo for a little paint! I'm liking the bright mint, it's not as overwhelming as the other colors, if your on the fence about painting. You're new place sounds beautiful already.
ReplyDeleteHi, Caitlin. I always prefer white, but this house is making me reconsider. http://www.thenateshow.com/photos/house-proud-color-crazed/
ReplyDeletep.s. we have a mutual friend in Brit Callaway.
Since you were all white in the last place, I say go big with color!
ReplyDeleteif i was going to paint i would do cobalt! but i would think carefully on whether or not you can see yourself still liking it in a couple of years (unless you plan on repainting when you get bored) :)
