So we were delighted when we found this lovely look-a-like at Pottery Barn for a more palatable price of $1500.
Our client fell in love and she brought up a fantastic idea: to change out the hardware. What a perfect touch to a fabulous find. Here are a few of the many great hardware pieces we're thinking about ala Anthropologie:
Do any of these catch your eye?
Love, love that second one!
ReplyDeleteThe first ones (mercury glass) get my vote!
ReplyDeleteWhile I like all of them, the 2nd one is my favorite. Maybe it's from working at Pottery Barn for too long, but I feel like I've seen the mercury before. I think the others are more unique.
ReplyDeleteI fell in love with mercury glass ones when I saw them at Anthropologie and bought 8 for my daughter's dresser. They looked beautiful when installed but, unfortunately, kept breaking when she would try to open her drawers. I returned them because they weren't sturdy enough. She was very careful (she's 19) but they still would brek off in her hand. Thankfully she wasn't cut by the knobs. If the armoire won't be used, then they are fine for show, only. Sorry!
ReplyDeleteThe Mercury glass knobs are very weak. They are adorable, but not strong enough for everyday wear and tear. I had them on my daughters dresser and they broke within a day. Sorry!
ReplyDeleteI actually have the mercury glass ones on the drawers in my kitchen and I love them. They have been on for a few months now and see a lot of use and have held up great. Everyone always comments on them - they are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteThe mercury glass hardware from Anthropologie is one of my favorites. I hope she goes with that one!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend! :)
