If there was any project that I worked on in Dubai that reflected the geographic region, it was the home of our good friends Mike and Lindsey Fournie. Their amazing antique rug collection served as the inspiration and color palette for the entire home. This eclectic style wasn't just Middle Eastern but a fusion of inspiration from Central Asia, India, and the Caucuses.
I love the juxtaposition of old and new so we went for clean lines, crisp colors, classic modern silhouettes, and lots of white to contrast the antique rugs. I used mostly John Robshaw textiles and Christopher Farr Cloth for the fabrics with a few CWD signature pillows and curtains of course!
{I know you saw this home when it was featured in Emirates Home Magazine in January, however there were quite a few angles and details that were missed!}
