Today marks the 1 year birthday of CWD: Style Files! Some of you know that I began my blog back in '07 when I started my business, however I didn't have the time or energy to keep it updated in the first few years. It wasn't until I was a new mom living in Dubai that I realized I needed to somehow continue my design career despite the challenge of change & circumstance. Needless to say, the last year has been really amazing and I have loved getting to know the design blog community and all of my faithful readers. This blog has allowed me to grow as a designer, feel closer to home, and also given me a unique connection to parts of the world that I never imagined I would have.
Enter to win a STORYBOARD ROOM DESIGN by becoming a follower of my blog and leaving a comment telling me what you enjoy on the blog or would love to see more of in the coming year!
The winner will be chosen next Wednesday, February 23rd at midnight!
Love the blog just the way it is!!!
ReplyDeleteI love that your style is versatile and it helps me open up to different ways of designing. I like that most of your style I want to try out in my own home!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on a fabulous first year!! I always love seeing your designs, so I hope you keep'em coming!
ReplyDeleteI love the bright colors you use! I look forward to your posts everyday.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Style Files! I have loved looking to your blog for inspiration and motivation to make our home a prettier place :) I would love to see more about how to incorporate more than 2 colors into a room. I seem to pick one color and stick to it, and everything ends up looking too matchy/matchy. Yuck. Your work always has so much character and diversity. I love it. May there be many more birthdays to come :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic giveaway! I've been reading for about 6 months now and love your style. I'm slowly making changes in my own home, thanks to you!

ReplyDeleteI absolutely love reading your blog. I love the colors, your design and the awesome lands you get to live in ;)
I loving seeing remodels.
I like that you have shown how to keep your own style even while abroad in an unfamiliar environment. It can be easy to get sucked in (and not in a good way) to local tastes/styles that look contrived or too "heavy" when out of context and I like that you have been able to take influences from your surroundings and make them your own. Looking forward to seeing how you do this in Hong Kong!
ReplyDeleteThat and I used to travel to Dubai frequently and it has been fun to see posts from the area. Thanks!

Thanks for all of the advice!
ReplyDeleteof course I'm a follower! I would love to see more of how to make different elements work together- i.e. rustic/modern, exotic/urban It can be intimidating trying to make so many things work at once, but it can be very rewarding!
ReplyDeleteI love the mixture of beautiful, bright patterns, textures, and crisp whites you use in decorating your homes.
ReplyDeleteFabulous blog!
I absolutely love seeing all of the different designs and ideas on this blog. I keep telling my husband that someday I'm going to hire you to design our entire house. I wish that could be today, but maybe a storyboard for one room would be enough for now. I've enjoyed seeing how you are able to make such a fun life for yourself and your family while you are out and about in the world. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love the clean lines and mixture of patterns and colours that you use. :) I enjoy reading- keep it up!
