  1. We have good family friends who have been in Hong Kong for a couple of years (they are from Chicago). They have 4 kids and I know that they love it there. Happy to make an introduction once you are settled if you would like.

  8. Glad you hear you arrived safe and sound! Do you have a system or running list of things you do to get adjusted after one of your big cross the world moves? I'm guessing you have a running list you check off and as you do it become more and more like home! Here's to your new adventure? It sounds exciting!

  14. hi caitlin. i just started reading your blog a few weeks ago, and your style is beautiful... totally inspiring.

i lived in hong kong a few years ago, and my son was born there. the victoria branch relief society will take care of you--best ladies in the world, and i miss them dearly. i'm mondo jealous of the adventures that await you. hk is crazy and wonderful.

PS: the cafe at the threesixty (grocery store in central) has some awesome not-so-asian food... the build-your-own burritos were my fave. AND: gateway, a grocery store above the sheung wan mtr station, is a mini costco. it's a little weird and feels like your mom's basement, but they have tostitos and other gems from the lower 48. sweet mercy.
