We have good family friends who have been in Hong Kong for a couple of years (they are from Chicago). They have 4 kids and I know that they love it there. Happy to make an introduction once you are settled if you would like.
Glad you hear you arrived safe and sound! Do you have a system or running list of things you do to get adjusted after one of your big cross the world moves? I'm guessing you have a running list you check off and as you do it become more and more like home! Here's to your new adventure? It sounds exciting!
Well thank goodness it's over (and I'm assuming went well...) and you can just get settled in! I'm *dying* over your sequined pencil skirts!!! They are simply delicious! (c:
hi caitlin. i just started reading your blog a few weeks ago, and your style is beautiful... totally inspiring.
i lived in hong kong a few years ago, and my son was born there. the victoria branch relief society will take care of you--best ladies in the world, and i miss them dearly. i'm mondo jealous of the adventures that await you. hk is crazy and wonderful.
PS: the cafe at the threesixty (grocery store in central) has some awesome not-so-asian food... the build-your-own burritos were my fave. AND: gateway, a grocery store above the sheung wan mtr station, is a mini costco. it's a little weird and feels like your mom's basement, but they have tostitos and other gems from the lower 48. sweet mercy.
hey So glad you guys made it there. Gwyneth Paltrow just did a spread on Hong hong on goop. check it out! Looks like a crazy but beautiful city. I can't wait to hear what you find there.
