west elm BLOCK PRINTS!

Something that I loved about living in Dubai was the proximity to India.  Although I haven't made it yet (I'm still kind of close), I was able to find some beautiful Indian products, including some block printed fabrics.  I even had a client who's guest room we decorated with block printed fabrics that her aunt made! Of all the places in India, I really want to go to Rajasthan and have fabrics made. So you'll see why I died over this video that West Elm made of the block printing process. Watch it- it's INCREDIBLE!

{And the best part is that you actually don't have to go to India, you can buy them here!}

  2. I love their block prints! I was actually just looking at them the other day & wondering if the essex sofa upholstered in the paisley would work in my house. We'll see!

    And I hope you're getting settled okay in Hong Kong!!!

  3. Have you ever been to "Lala" in Laguna, the designer is Kerry Cassill- she is amazing, this looks like a lot of her stuff although she is a little more bohemian bc its at the beach.

  5. Rajasthan is just the most amazing place in the world :) I lived/studied there on 2 separate occasions and it's just an amazing feast for the senses - especially the visual :) move it way up there on your travel list, you won't regret it!

  9. I love West Elm right now - there are doing so many great ethnicy things, which I always fall for! I blogged recently about a similar product that you may want to check out if you don't already know it: http://bjdhausdesign.blogspot.com/2011/02/les-indiennes.html. I would love to go there, and make my own fabric - how cool would that be??!!!
