We went to the Mandarin Oriental this week for a delicious lunch with my parents. I loved the glamorous Chinese design so I snapped some pics...the materials were all so refined and sleek. The veiny marbles reminded me of something Kelly Wearstler would do, very dramatic. I came away feeling inspired of course...and also inspired to save up to stay the night some time. Check out the rooms!
Gorgeous! How fun.
ReplyDeletegorgeous rooms, would love to stay there a couple of nights!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite hotels. Did you happen to have their mango sandwich. So yummy. Glad Kathy & Roger are able to visit. Please tell them hello. Love your blog.
ReplyDeletepretty! The one here is super nice as well. We go there for drinks to look cool. I actually saw Adam Sandler, his wife, and baby there last summer on my way to get coffee.

ReplyDeleteI have been lucky enough to stay there twice for work! Gorgeous hotel, great location right in the city center. But I think the service is what really blew me away (we don't have that level of service in the states it seems). Food was delish as well.
ReplyDeleteTwo years ago today was the week I went to Hong Kong! I stayed at the Fairmont and the Mandarin Oriental for three nights each with my dad & it was the most fun trip I have ever been on; and we took a trip to Macau while there. What an amazing place!! I'll never forget it; talk about great shopping too haha, I didn't have any idea what to expect going into it! Hope you're having a great Monday! Virginia
