Now that I'm moving back to the states, I'm planning on digging up those keepsake photos of our parents and grandparents so they can be remembered and honored in our home. While I love the look of a vintage collage wall, I want to do something a bit more modern to fit in with my style. A few ideas...
Colored mattes

Oversized mattes in simple white frames |
little green notebook |
Love number 1 and number 3. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteCaitlin, all great ideas!!! Love the white frames with the large matting. I have always loved that look,Kathysue
ReplyDeleteThey all look so organized! Love them all!
ReplyDeletei have lots of family photos, new and old, in an assortment of silver frames, some simple some ornate. Sometimes I add kids artwork in there too. I put them all the way down the steps into the finished basement. My 11 year old recently told me it makes him happy every time he walks downstairs.
ReplyDeletebtw, have been reading your blog for a long time and love in Harrisburg PA. Welcome back to the East Coast!
These are wonderful and so upbeat.
ReplyDeleteI have been having fun playing around with online photo editing software. With special older photos I would scan them in and only add special touches so they still looked like the real thing, but I am having fun with the looks I can create. As far as framing, I love the first one - very fresh!
ReplyDeleteOK you are awesome!!! Any suggestions on framing a really important artistic document, such as a ketubah? Love the goldish or white frames, and where in my house to put it? http://www.judaism.com/display.asp?ecat=ECADE
