I always thought I liked bright white until I realized my ikea couch and furniture are totally vanilla. Now I know, I like just a touch of warmth to my whites.
I love the look of bright white, but I think it really depends on the space...and how many children are roaming about! In fabrics, I always like a white background as opposed to a creamy tone.
I've always been a bright white girl - but, now I'm trying to get over my matchy-matchy tendencies - and embrace the "white on white" look - I think different whites look really pretty layered together.
i love the look of bright white, but deep down i'm vanilla. i feel like bright white isn't liveable. animals shed. i shed. my linty sweaters shed. and bright white necessitates a VERY clean space - and i'm not sure i can stay tidy ALL THE TIME.
Bright white after those pictures! But I have been living in apartments for so long that I love vanilla. Our new house came with all the walls and moldings vanilla which was a nice change but, we are painting them over time. Cannot wait for that trim to be bright white!
That's the million dollar question. We are building a home and I've often wondered what "white" paint colors are your favorite. I like white, but not super, bright white. What are some of your go to whites (and vanillas)?
Okay I am a naysayer because I love vanilla with bright white trim. After living in an all white house for many years, it can get a little taxing to maintain.
Vanilla because of its warmth. I love warm colors as much as I love cooler colors and both warm and cool colors look best with vanilla, in my opinion. As I learned from my photography teacher back in high school, there's really no such thing as white. We only think that there is. There's a little bit of color in everything, even white.
Bright white! The latest issue of Lonny used lots of bright white and I loved it!
ReplyDeleteI'm a bright white girl, even though our rental is covered in vanilla!

ReplyDeleteIt depends...but I LOVE the look of bright white most the time.
ReplyDeleteI'm behind the times and still love vanilla. I like the slight warmth vanilla has.
ReplyDeleteDepends on the room and the other colours in it. I love a bright white, but sometimes the softness of vanilla is nice.
