Slipcovered WingBacks

Several people have asked about my wingbacks shown in the last post...so here's a couple more shots!
Unfortunately, I just sold the last of the Navy Fleur Chinoise Fabric by the Yard today...so if you are thinking about buying fabric by the yard of any other patterns, you may want to jump on it!

(We still have pillows- but we are running out of yardage. The next shipment will be in early spring)

It cost me $125 per chair to have them slipcovered rather than the $400-$500 reupholstery rate. And since I already have some crayon marks on them, I'm glad that I have the option to have them cleaned.

They look and fit really well- I'm extremely happy with them.
If you have any more questions, feel free to comment and I'll respond. Thanks!

  1. Oh my heavens, they're so great and I am SO glad I got my order in when I did. Can't wait to get mine for a roman shade in my dining room! Now I need to hurry and go get some more! I did a post on affordable upholstery a while back...I think I might have to re-post it with these as another example. People just have no idea that covers are so much cheaper! Just have to find a seamstress that can do it like yours did. You're fabulous as usual.

  2. I have two wingbacks that I've been sitting on recovering. The slipcover is a great idea. Where did you have your slipcovers made?

  4. It looks terrific. The slipcovers are so tight, it really looks like they're upholstered.

  5. Where did you go to get the slipcovers made? We have 2 chairs to do, but I definitely like the idea of cheaper and machine-washable!

  6. Wow, 125 for a slip cover? You'll have to let me know where you get it done in Philly...I have one of mom and dad's old wingbacks that I'd love to slipcover, but the place by me charged 500 dollars! The chairs are awesome.

  9. Caitlin the chair looks amazing! Now I am so excited to do mine....please tell me you have enough of the other color in that fabric left:). Congratulations on the baby boy news...boys are a ton of fun, even if they can trash a house like nobody's business!
