Good Design-Kids in Mind

Today I contributed to 6th Street Design School's series called "Good Design- Kids in Mind."Lots of mommy bloggers are sharing thoughts & tips to keeping things looking good with kids. It is a really great series, of course- coming from cute Kirsten. I felt bad that I didn't have a whole lot to contribute because I am still learning when it comes to kid-proofing. Olivia has broken several of my chinese pots and just today she broke the plug on my chinese lamps. And remember that cool coffee table I had? Yep, I sold that because I was terrified of sharp corners after Olivia cut the side of her eye open! What sits in it's place is a brightly colored BALL TABLE! Next time I will buy an upholstered ottoman for my living room- maybe even this one. A round, tufted velvet ottoman, no sharp edges and still so pretty!

  1. My husband and I don't have kids...yet but love the upholstered ottoman look! We ended up making our own and got the idea from Little Green Notebook. You can see how our's turned out by going here: http://tiny.cc/lnq24
